Emotional Freedom Techniques (aka Tapping)
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT aka Tapping) is an incredibly empowering technique, and I'm passionate about sharing it with others. An EFT session can focus on and be beneficial for *Stress reduction *Processing difficult emotions in a safe way *Coping with change, e.g. relationship endings, career changes, children leaving home *Getting 'unstuck' from *Achieving goals, through awareness of self sabotaging thoughts and behaviours *Grief What is EFT? EFT is a process where you tap gently with two fingers on specific points of the primo vascular system that is used in accupuncture. The tapping is combined with key wording and phrases that are specific to your situation. How does a clinical EFT session differ from what I see on social media? Many people find pre-sccripted social media content that guides them through tapping beneficial. A clinical EFT session will be focused on your specific experience, the nuances and wording that resonates with you making it more effective. What to expect in a session. At the start of the session, if EFT is new to you I will guide you through a short experience of this simple process. Then we will spend some time discussing your intent for the session. Considering the focus of the session I will choose an appropriate technique to safely support you to work towards achieving your intentions. Throughout the process I will guide you through the tapping points as you go. Before the session ends I will guide you through a process to support you to feel calm, peaceful and grounded so you can go about the rest of your day in peace. All sessions are online, via zoom. How can I make an appointment? I am currently enrolled in a mentorship program to complete my clinical Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) qualifications. During this time I am looking for volunteers to participate in case studies, consisting of free 1 hour online EFT sessions that I can confidentially discuss with my mentor. Your privacy will be maintained during these mentoring sessions as the focus is on training. If you would like to be on the list of volunteers please email me and I will add you to the newsletter list with more information and notifications of when appointment openings are available. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time. I first heard of the benefits EFT had in 2005, and since completing a course in 2006 I have been using it personally. I have recently undertaken further training in EFT to use as a practitioner. My qualifications also include a Diploma of Counselling and I am a Level 1 member of the Australian Counselling Assosciation. If you would like to be informed when bookings become available please email me. Please note, this is not an emergency service.
